Bang, bang, bang.
The soldiers urgently swung their muzzles around and fired into the sky.
Several Apache attack helicopters had only just begun to move when the figures struck first. They slammed into the aircraft, savagely beating at the cockpit glass, even fearlessly tearing at the helicopters' struts in midair.
"Fuck, fuck!"
Inside the violently shaking cockpit, the pilot's eyes widened in terror. One attack helicopter after another fell from the sky, smashing down toward the troops below, erupting into bursts of firelight on the streets filled with red mist!
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
For a time, shouts, gunfire, cannon fire, and explosions rang out without end.
Tap, tap, tap.
Holding a camera, a cameraman fled forward like mad. Only when the figures of those "monsters" and soldiers could no longer be seen in the footage did the person filming stop, panting for breath.
"Breathe."
This was an open area, and even the mist had thinned considerably. He must have made it out of that dense fog zone.
The cameraman caught his breath, then seemed to see something unbelievable. Trembling, he raised the camera in his hands.
"Oh my God, you will never believe what I'm seeing—ahhhhhhhhh!!!!"
Along with a sudden scream, the shot lurched violently, and the camera fell askew to the ground with a bang.
In the rapidly flashing footage, it captured not only the cameraman screaming as he was dragged into the sky, but also, farther up in the sky, a gigantic inverted red pyramid!
It pierced through a constantly rotating red vortex as it fell downward, and beneath those clouds floated countless human figures. The figures were packed so densely they looked like endless ants!
Crack!
In the conference room, the computer screen on the table flickered, then went completely black.
