One hand on the phone and the other pressed against the tabletop, Nick Fury leaned forward with his butt stuck out in an awkward posture, making even Dr. Borg beside him unable to resist glancing at him.
With that one glance, it was over!
Wiping the cold sweat from his forehead, Dr. Borg's heart jumped, and he hurriedly lowered his face.
Staring at him coldly, General Ross curled his lip in disdain and cocked the hammer of his pistol.

Having also noticed Dr. Borg's little movement, Nick Fury sighed inwardly. These research types were just lacking in training. He recorded the problem in the little notebook in his heart and decided he would put them through some drills later.
"All right. Once we fully start up this machine, the counter-frequency it emits can indeed help us sever their link, but there's a fairly high chance of a side effect."

Finally hearing what he wanted to hear, General Ross's heart trembled, and he hurriedly asked.
"The golden-eyed infected population will undergo a certain degree of alteration to their brain structure. This change is irreversible, and we currently have no way to estimate how harmful it will be.
