Either Tsunade had no intention of discussing such matters with her, or, simply put, Hinata was not qualified enough.

Though it sounded rather hurtful, there was nothing to be done about it.

Strictly speaking, neither Ranmaru nor Aunt Yamada had a relationship with Hinata that had reached that point.

What had been done so far was already more than enough.

But young people sometimes had tempers they could not quite keep under control.

And even though Hinata clearly knew she should let go by now,

there was always an inexplicable stubbornness in her heart.

Instead, she became determined to get to the bottom of it.

Still, she hoped for the first possibility. If Tsunade had no information, then even if they guessed Danzo was responsible, there was nothing they could do.

What she feared most was the second possibility—or something even worse, with the second and third possibilities happening at the same time.

Hinata thought it over and made up her mind. She planned to ask someone. She believed she would definitely find what she wanted there.

Back in the office, Tsunade watched Hinata leave in disappointment. Shizune said, "Lord Tsunade, wasn't that a little harsh? Hinata looked pretty upset."

Tsunade shook her head. "I don't know. But this matter involves far too much. It isn't something we can talk about freely, much less discuss what should be done."

"For now, this matter has only added another weight to the scales tipping toward us. Hinata didn't press any further."

Sakura said nothing and merely listened. After Tsunade and the others finished speaking, she finally asked, "Lady Tsunade, may I know what happened?"

Tsunade glanced at Sakura and considered it briefly. "You may, but you absolutely cannot tell anyone else. Especially not Hinata."

"Otherwise, I feel it would ruin that child."
