• A Root ninja abducted Hanabi, and Obito asked Sasuke whether he missed Konoha before revealing that Hinata had once defeated him.
• At the Five Kage Summit, the leaders debated how to confront Akatsuki until Pain appeared and declared war on the Shinobi World.
• Danzo’s letter revealed that he held Hanabi and demanded that Hiashi leave Konoha, so Hiashi entrusted Neji and Hinata with protecting the clan and went to save his daughter.
• Shikaku, Shizune, Inoichi, and Choza investigated Danzo’s mobilization and split their forces, while Danzo assembled Root’s elites to seize the Hokage Building.
• Root’s attacks and explosions plunged Konoha into chaos, and the Hokage faction struggled against Root’s greater numbers as the other clans stayed neutral.

Hinata’s alliance with Akatsuki broke down as the Fourth Great Ninja War escalated into a battle between the Allied Shinobi Forces and the Ten-Tails’ forces. The Nine-Tails was extracted from Naruto, Madara absorbed the Ten-Tails, and Hinata arrived to face him.

• Hinata and Obito agreed to temporary cooperation, while Sasuke defeated Danzo and escaped his final sealing technique.
• Neji and the Hyuga Clan helped defeat Root, and Shikaku returned safely with Hiashi and Hanabi before Tsunade prepared Konoha for war.
