  • Gaara recovered from the strain of fighting Camilla, whom he recognized as a capable jonin.

  • Hinata said she was interested in the mineral vein and was acting in her own name rather than as Konoha's representative.
  • Winter Rain joined Hinata, and the two made clear they would fight for the vein.
  • Heyan and Heide wondered whether the girls understood how outmatched they were.

Hinata faced Heide, whose power was limited despite its endless supply, and overwhelmed him with her presence. She struck him with a Tenseigan-enhanced punch, leaving him battered against the wall.

  • Heide realized his limited burst power made him a poor match for Hinata and feared that his sacrifices had been for nothing.
  • Heide watched Hinata, hoping to test her strength, while she calmly returned to the ground rather than attack from the air.
  • Hinata used the Tenseigan’s ocular technique to rush at Heide and punch him in the lower abdomen.

  • Hinata set thousands of Truth-Seeking Orb longswords ablaze and sent them raining down on Heide with Myriad Swords Return to Origin.
  • The attack triggered a massive explosion that collapsed the ground around Heide and left the underground space dark.
  • Hinata used the Tenseigan to search the wreckage and sensed no living creature besides herself.
  • Hinata carefully checked the area for signs Heide had survived or could return.
  • Hinata found Heide's gold-trimmed monocle, kept it as a trophy, and decided the matter was nearly resolved.

Ch. 398Heyan's Story (cont.)

As the ceiling began collapsing, Hinata realized the Gelel Stones were formed by Chakra-like power fusing with the surrounding rock. She escaped through a spatial opening to observe the danger from safety, leaving the situation unresolved.

  • Hinata watched cracks spread across the ceiling as stones and huge chunks began falling.
  • Hinata concluded the mineral vein’s power was like the Dragon Vein, with the rocks containing it and the Gelel Stones formed through its fusion with them.
  • Hinata opened a pitch-black spatial rift and entered it to assess the situation from elsewhere.
  • Hinata considered the Spatial Rift formation and her Tenseigan’s Space-Time Ninjutsu as ways to escape if the power erupted.
  • Hinata estimated the eruption could destroy everything within a thousand li, but would not destroy the entire shinobi world.

Ch. 399Heyan's Story (cont.)

Heyan revealed his long-running plan to activate the Spatial Rift’s grand formation and awaken a vast Chakra vein using Royal Family blood, the Book of Gelel, and the Gelel Stone. • Heyan explained that he had waited years for the pieces of his plan to fall into place and was now ready to pursue his dream.
  • Hinata did not stop Heyan and instead tried to prevent the energy from leaking out, though she wanted to study or collect some of it.

Ch. 400The End

Heyan activated the summoning formation with his collected blood, opening a black void that began consuming the underground area and drawing in the unstable Chakra mass. Winter Rain used Paper Release to seal part of the Chakra, and the sphere began to compress as the story ended.

  • Heyan poured his collected blood onto the open ground and retreated.
  • A black summoning formation appeared, making the unstable underground space tremble and collapse.
  • A black void opened and began pulling in the platform and the Chakra mass.
