Every few breaths, a bolt of lightning descended from the sky. Depending on the different powers carried within it, it could melt mountains and rocks into magma, freeze river water into ice, or blast through solid ice.

Just moments ago, when Green entered this corridor of connected world fragments, a group of unfortunate three-ridged toads several hundred meters away had been struck by a lightning beam and turned into several piles of loose sand.

"Caw? That scared the hell out of me! What kind of lousy residual rules are in these world fragments?!"

Little Eight cried out, hurriedly looking up in fear that a bolt of lightning might happen to fall on him.

Green showed little reaction to the deaths of those Rank 1 creatures. Even the Three-Ridged Toad King, the World Lord, did not care, urging its tribe to press onward without delay.

"878 degrees. It can only threaten these Rank 1 creatures. Creatures with lightning attributes can resist it."

After determining the nature of that lightning-rule attack, Green turned to glance at the World Gate. On the smooth cliff face on the other side of the mountain, Nightshadow Sachi, Lulianman's Rain-Dew clone, and the curse wizard Sabei Ning emerged amid rippling water, marveling at the lightning that occasionally descended from the sky.

"You two, go check the chaotic layer. Notify me immediately if anything happens."

"Yes."

After Green gave the order, the two nodded and repeatedly used elemental teleportation to fly higher into the sky. A short while later, they plunged into the turbulent black-gray clouds overhead and vanished from sight.

This corridor of world fragments had formed from thousands upon thousands of fragments left behind after a world had been destroyed and perished, its large and small pieces stretching together in an unbroken expanse. Having
