As they circled through the skies above, a small portion provided support for the base cleanup efforts and protected the relatively combat-ineffective mechanical maintenance wizards. Most, however, rushed toward the warfront to make up for wartime losses.

The core of the First-Ring Holy Tower Base spanned hundreds of thousands of li. There were countless war recycling factories, functional Teleportation Arrays of every kind, altar facilities, and more.

The entire core base was divided into inner and outer layers, separated and encompassed by two vast Wizard Shields.

Important facilities were all installed within the inner core base. Because the outer base was frequently shattered by the Space-Based Planet-Killing Cannon, its residual energy could easily destroy large numbers of facilities. Thus, the outer layer stored only war-recovered materials and the most basic facilities needed to maintain the Wizard Shield's energy circulation.

A great many creatures that had slipped in from distant foreign realms through temporal rifts wandered through the outer base. Most were low-intelligence beasts, roaming freely across the vast skies and land, seemingly instinctively terrified of this unfamiliar spacetime as they fled in blind panic.
