Crack, crack, crack, crack...
Treading upon the land of bones, Green's solitary figure followed the guidance of the Hope Light Shroud within the Robe of Appearances, slowly advancing through the Lightstream Reversal World. Through the "crack, crack" echoes beneath his feet, he confirmed the hidden dangers of invisible temporal fault lines around him.
Yet even so, the danger of temporal fault lines still existed. Some tiny temporal fault lines produced no echoes.
Correspondingly, however, they posed no threat to Green, who possessed super-regenerative healing abilities.
"Hmm?"
After a soft murmur of surprise, Green brushed aside the Hope Scepter floating before him and pointing in another direction. With a lift of his hand, a gravitational ripple swept out, drawing over a bone unlike any he had stepped on before.
Rather than calling it a bone, it would be more accurate to call it the remains of some giant insect's carapace. Interwoven in black, red, and green, it stood out strikingly against this endless expanse of pale white and light-gold bone land.
Unfortunately, it too had lain silent here for who knew how many years, weathered into this state.
"Could this be the remains of another biological group?"
Thinking so, Green began using the fragmented remains of this giant beetle shell as a central point, searching in every direction for traces of other black-red-green carapaces.
Several hourglasses later, regrettably, Green had found nothing.
At that moment, Green could not help considering a dreadful possibility: this had been a lifeform like himself, one that had entered—or been sealed into—the Lightstream Reversal World.
Picking up a fragment of carapace, the tricolored eyes beneath the Face of Truth flickered. The passage of far too many years had drained every last trace of essence from this shell, rendering it frail beyond measure. Yet under the Face
