Even the unbelievably hard Void Starfall ground had been pressed into a hundred-meter palm print out of thin air by Green's casual slap and repulsive sorcery. The Crystal Spider's figure lay squarely in the center of that imprint, embedded in the earth.
This sudden turn of events froze not only the Corruptors, but also the three Royal Ironblood Guards who had chased after them.

With a shrill sonic boom that seemed like space grinding against itself, a tiny semitransparent figure abruptly appeared beside the Crystal Spider. This transparent crystal spider had a body barely over two meters long, yet its six legs stretched more than ten meters. Nearly every cell in its body trembled. The instant its many compound eyes saw Green appear, it instinctively tried to strike back in terror, to flee from this figure that had, in a single instant, filled it with an almost sky-shrouding, boundless dread.
Bzzzt...
The Crystal Spider extended a long crystal leg, like an invisible blade, slashing through space toward the figure that had abruptly appeared before it, tearing at the endless light and darkness in every direction.
The tiny figure did not move. It merely shot out an arm with equal speed, creating a startling visual disparity between motion and stillness.
Bang!
A severed transparent crystal limb collided with a fist that flashed past in an instant. The tiny figure remained utterly motionless as its fist withdrew, while the Crystal Spider's long limb exploded apart with a bang, snapping off in midair. Even the surrounding space distorted in response.
Bzzzt...
Another of the Crystal Spider's limbs was still carrying out the instinctive attack from the previous moment, slashing toward this unheard-of terrifying figure. At the same time, the black-and-white patterns on its abdomen transformed into a ghostly face.
