Gales raged. From the lofty perspective of a world destroyer, Green discovered that the terrain had entered a "wind gap." The surrounding mountain ranges confined the sea winds within this dry land, leaving it barren and desolate, yet boundlessly vast.
Apart from the relatively common wind spirits, the creatures living here included a kind of flesh-and-blood creature shaped like a ball. They survived by gathering nutrients carried in the gale. It was difficult to imagine that these fat little spheres could actually fly, yet they clearly proved the saying that, when the wind was right, even pigs could take flight.
