Ladder Mountain, at the center of the Gods Continent, was where the Original Sin Lord God's temple had stood during the ancient age of the gods. It later became the foundation sealing the Desire Lord God, and later still, the battlefield of the ancient war of the gods. Too many peerless ancient gods had fallen there, burying the glorious legends of the ancient gods.
After the passage of long ages, the endless corpses upon the ancient battlefield gradually transformed into undead, wandering across Ladder Mountain, which pierced heaven and earth, constantly absorbing the cold, damp, and gloomy death aura as they grew stronger.
Crack! Crackle!
The air was thin and the weather unpredictable. At times, thunderbolts split the sky. The mountaintop, influenced by the laws of the undead, had turned blackish-gray, while deep, heavy sound waves surged through it.
When struck by these nether thunderbolts, the vast majority of undead were torn apart and dissolved, returning to nether dust. Yet a fortunate few mutated after enduring such tribulations, awakening the consciousness of their previous lives. They could easily grow into Saint Realm existences and wield unimaginable power.
The nether death aura was ethereal and boundless. Though this continent was regarded as a world where the dead were reborn, it possessed a vigorous vitality all its own.

A heaven-shaking explosion erupted, like the weeping before the world's destruction. Upon the oppressive earth, trillions upon trillions of wandering undead raised their heads, staring toward one corner of Ladder Mountain's endless sea of undead beneath the gray haze. The law-power fluctuations that made Spiritfolk tremble in terror caused the entire Ladder Mountain to quake!
A milky-white halo pierced the horizon. The instant they saw it, the countless undead opened their skeletal jaws, their souls howling and weeping from within
