They wore heavy anti-corrosion protective suits and elephant-trunk honeycomb helmets, weaving among clumsy mechanical vehicles as they traveled between the buildings of the enormous city.

"So it's a technological world. This so-called gray haze is factory pollution. I thought it was this world's ecological rule."

He muttered to himself and descended from the sky.

Clack, clack, clack...

The clumsy mechanical vehicles actually burned a certain mineral for energy, releasing vast quantities of sulfide gases that formed gray pollutants. Their energy efficiency was only around one or two thousandths.
