His eyes were dull and hollow, their divine light scattered. Those once wise, deep eyes had now become as though there was nothing left to cling to, no longer believing in anything.
He reached out and picked up the battered oil lamp on the windowsill. Though Green was looking at the lamp, the emptiness in his eyes seemed to overlook that it was an oil lamp, overlook its metallic nature, overlook its hardness, overlook every attribute it possessed...
Gradually, centered on the hand gripping the oil lamp, there came a "glug," and a ring of ripples spread outward.
Immediately afterward, the oil lamp changed from solid to liquid, transforming into a stream of liquid metal that flowed through the gaps between Green's fingers, fell to the ground, and slowly spread out.

Another ring of ripples spread out, extending across the ground along the stream of metal. The ground actually transformed into a pile of magic stones, and the liquid metal flowed underground through the gaps between them.
