The Wizard World had gone far too long without building or upgrading Sky Cities, those crystallizations of ancient wisdom.
After the Second War of Civilization, the ancient wizards had been defeated by the Abyssal Ancient Demons and fled in disarray to this world cluster. Bitter and anguished, despondent and despairing, they faced a Wizard World where everything had to be rebuilt from the ashes. Although Pumiluoxius, the seventeenth-circle True Spirit Wizard, had proposed the grand Demon-Hunting Expedition plan, restoring the Wizard World's courage to face cruel reality, its actual implementation was an entirely different matter.
As the ancient wizards' platforms of conquest, Sky Cities served as foundations carrying Space Fortresses and were suited for ultra-long-distance expeditions between world clusters. They symbolized the ancient wizards' glorious zenith. Yet for the ancient wizards who had fled here after defeat, exhausting themselves to construct Sky Cities merely to conquer this relatively primitive world cluster was clearly not worthwhile.
By comparison, using the Fate Lever Magic Staff to pry small-scale Space Fortresses directly through time and space into foreign worlds was undoubtedly faster, more convenient, and less costly!
Thus, through the joint efforts of Pumiluoxius and all the Mechanical True Spirits, all Sky Cities had actually been merged together. The Eternal Sky City was gradually taking shape, its internal structure becoming ever more complete.
This was a miracle beyond level-eight lifeforms, piled up by countless wizards with wisdom and wealth!
Now, Pumiluoxius's main body, the Eternal Sky City that should have been fully completed according to plan, was still undergoing its final modifications under the will of Green, the First-generation Wizard King. Countless mechanical wizards and Heavenly Net Wizards were giving it their all, even delaying the planned construction of the next generation of Sky Cities because of it.
Whoosh!
The crystal coffin flashed
