From this initial contact, Green obtained one useful piece of information.
These card people also had distinctions of three-dimensional space within their planar structural world. They had simply chosen to discard three-dimensional space themselves. Otherwise, if a truly lower-dimensional biological legion came to the Endless World, setting aside the differences in ideological essence and the like, higher-dimensional beings' perception of three-dimensional space alone would be enough to crush lower-dimensional beings.
Once lower-dimensional beings that could only wreak havoc upon flat sheets of paper suffered attacks from higher-dimensional three-dimensional space, they would be utterly incapable of resisting. Higher-dimensional beings were innately invincible by nature—at least, that was so according to the wizards' philosophical reasoning.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Streams of attacks struck Green's Elemental True Form.
At such a critical time, Green naturally would not miss a single detail. Using himself as a test subject, he observed those attacks with rapt attention.
These attacks were not collisions of energy and matter. They seemed to affect the Endless World's source runes themselves, yet they were not grid-like rune impacts. Instead, they resembled some sort of corrupted code virus. After landing on him, they squeezed into, merged with, and spread through the surrounding rune regions. Under their influence, the originally square runes would occasionally gain a few strokes or lose a few lines.
"Er... typos?"
Immediately afterward, in the typo-ridden regions attacked by the card people's legion, the other normal runes seemed to lose their structural support and came scattering down.
They still existed, but they could only exist as two-dimensional planes.
It was not that the Omnipotent Soul could not repair the damage. Rather, repairing it could no longer be done through three-dimensional perception—fixing whatever was damaged wherever it was damaged. Instead, it had to be repaired layer by layer like
