Ever since he had moved beyond his initial purpose of descending here—to destroy the Dark Gate—Green gradually discovered the peculiar delights unique to this absurd, illusory world.
Because he stood upon the level of this illusory world's rules of truth, the various highest rules were almost forever parallel to one another.
With no point of intersection, there could be no encounter. Just like the Endless World's rules of balance and multiplicity, they ran parallel yet influenced one another. Thus, as the will of the world, Green theoretically had almost no direct contact of any kind with those several higher rules, yet the war had never ceased.
Though there had been no contact, after years of exploration and with the Face of Truth as his aid, Green was by no means like those rulers who embodied the highest rules, knowing almost nothing about others of their kind and able only to learn through indirect reports from spokesmen.
This was also one of Green's greatest advantages.
In total, Green could clearly sense six highest rules.
Two of them needed no further mention: naturally, they were the Saint Ancestor Wushi and the Hundred Gui Saint Ancestor.
The Saint Ancestor Wushi governed the operational order of the new era's human World President rule, and controlled this illusory world's supreme spatial rule through the Dark Gate. The Hundred Gui Saint Ancestor, meanwhile, controlled this world's time rule through the Sun Clock, parallel to the material-energy world.
Of the remaining four, two were rulers of this native world, the supreme rules—or true gods—born within it.
One represented Eastern faith, while the other represented Western faith. They were rules inexplicably born from humanity's collective consciousness, influencing the functioning of human society from another angle. At the same time, these two gods could also be regarded as subordinate
