Ten more years passed.

These legions transferred from the Wizard World had finally experienced the true savagery of the War of Civilization, which wizards had recounted time and again. They had also finally understood why the Wizard World bestowed such generous treatment upon the surviving Demon-Hunting Wizards.

"Why has the Wizard King still not appeared?! The First-generation Wizard King is in this world! If he intervened, the price of this war would never have become so terrible! Why? Why has the First-generation Wizard King still not descended? The war should not have been like this!"

This wizard, whose legs had been crushed by the wreckage of a space airship amid the crater ruins, was being rescued with all their strength by several mechanical puppets.

Yet the wizard paid no heed to himself. War had utterly consumed his will, and he roared in fury.

Forget space airships—even the Space Fortresses that served as the Wizard World's war platforms had fallen in unknown numbers. Of the only two Sky Cities, or Orbital Planet-Destroying Ships as some wizards were accustomed to calling them, one had also crashed. Three True Spirit Wizards had fallen, while Sacred Mark Wizards had died beyond count.

The war was simply too brutal. That Chaos Child was simply too powerful!

And the chaos creatures summoned by the Chaos Child from the depths of chaos seemed endless. No matter how many were slaughtered, they could not be killed clean. Had the elemental wizards not discovered a method of using super barriers to create absolute vacuums for brief instants and disperse the power of chaos, thereby creating one massive spacetime trap after another, the situation in this war would have been even more horrific.

Patrolling wizards passed nearby. Metal wreckage, the corpses of slave monsters, and the corpses of chaos monsters
