Yellow sand stretched endlessly across the boundless desert.

After the wind howled past, the clouds high above the desert formed a colossal vortex. Then, after a pair of giant hands viciously tore open the spatial layers, a pale-faced monster with three blinking eyes slowly squeezed in from behind a pitch-black rift in space-time.

Green, Little Eight, and Painted Skin descended onto the chessboard as foreign invaders.

Though it was an Endless Desert, in the eyes of these higher-dimensional arrivals, it presented an entirely different scene.

The Endless Desert seen by the chess pieces was, beneath Green's feet as he wore the Face of Truth, a web of rules and principles woven from countless immortal scripts—the grid of the chessboard. It constrained and mapped out space-time in a particular manner. After studying these rules for a moment, Green gained some insight.

"A box."

After murmuring this, Green lightly waved the Truth-Balance Magic Staff in his right hand, and milky-white motes of light engulfed them all.

Little Eight and Painted Skin did not understand what he was doing. Green had transformed them into beings existing in the temporal and spatial partition of the box world, rather than chess pieces within the chessboard, much like the phenomenon of a Dimension Gap.

This was the observer's world of the chess game.

Rustle, rustle, rustle, rustle, rustle.

A moment later, several monsters riding giant serpents approached from every direction, following the particular principles woven across the chessboard to surround the area. The giant serpents varied in length. The shortest was only three or four meters long, thick and powerful, black as ink, while the longest stretched over fifty meters, shrouded in a layer of pink poisonous mist and hissing, "Ssss, ssss, ssss."
