"Hmm? A wizard?"

Green immediately noticed the wizard runes on the wheel, as well as the ** remnants on the head at its center. Though there were signs of artificial repair—or perhaps treatment—the soul itself gave off chaotic fluctuations.

There should be something wrong with his consciousness. He was in a state of schizophrenic delusion, or perhaps his thinking was incomplete.

The wizard in that bizarre form stared at Green, shaking his head and struggling to keep himself conscious, but it seemed futile. After a brief struggle, he lapsed back into a muddled state, making incoherent "hm hm ha ha" sounds.

Boom!

The waters around Green suddenly stirred. Countless whirlpools seemed to form, dragging everything nearby toward them, while the wheel behind the head spun at high speed.

Naturally, all of this was useless against Green. Standing in the waters of the seafloor ravine, he did not budge in the slightest.

It probably wasn't a mechanical wizard modification. Even if one or two mechanical wizards truly transformed themselves into such aberrations, they would never repair the wounds on their own heads in such a crude fashion, much less suffer soul damage. So the strange rumors throughout the Mudala Sea, and even this place being called a land of devils by this world's primitive creatures, were all the work of this mad wizard.

With that thought, Green raised a hand and firmly imprisoned the surrounding sea.

The raging currents that had been surging wildly a moment ago became as docile as lambs, leaving only the faintest ripples. The sea returned to its usual eerie stillness, carrying a hint of oppressive calm.
