Green and Milly seemed to have thrown themselves heart and soul into one unbroken game after another, forgetting their identities, forgetting Little Eight, forgetting everything from before, forgetting the Wizard Alliance and their own mythic standing. There was only each other, roaming through one world after another.
These worlds were material worlds governed by all manner of different rules. Some were deeply mysterious, some steeped in ancient history, some ruled by radical laws, some transcended reality. There were also all kinds of bizarre, mysterious, illusory worlds, gradually departing from conventional notions of balanced rules and moving toward worlds of some high-dimensional, phenomenological nature, as well as other natural phenomena occasionally encountered in the vast and endless void.
Now, after leaving the previous illusory world, where dangers lurked everywhere in the form of spatial blade-edges linking matter and energy worlds, Green and Milly arrived in this world, which seemed incomparably vast and boundless.
