"Not at all. No one knew what happened back then, but chaos beasts developed intelligence and called themselves Immortal Spirits. They believed they were the true orthodox lineage of the Heavenly Realm and wished to possess it."
"Was the Heavenly Dao shattered because of this? Did the ancient immortals and gods leave because of this as well?" Jiang Changkong pressed.
"Of course not. The Immortal Spirits were very weak at first. It was only after the ancient immortals and gods left that they were given the opportunity to grow..."

Houtu had returned to take away the descendants of the ancient immortals and gods, only to encounter the Immortal Spirits wreaking havoc throughout the Heavenly Realm.
