Luo Yunji did not care about the brotherly affection unfolding beside him. He quickly finished his own portion, and seeing that he still was not full, got up and ran into the kitchen.
Inside, Zhang Xiaofan was still busy. Little Fatty saw that it would still be a while before the dishes were ready, so he wandered around the kitchen. He actually found quite a few fresh and unusual fruits and vegetables. Anything that could be eaten raw, he washed, picked some out, stuffed them into his mouth, and tasted them.
Zhang Xiaofan had just finished up on his side when he turned and saw Luo Yunji standing at a table not far away, fiddling with something. Carrying the divided dishes, he walked over.
Zhang Xiaofan looked at the bowls and cups filling the table, all containing juices of various colors. Seeing the fruit and vegetable scraps by Luo Yunji's hand, he knew where those liquids had come from.
Luo Yunji mixed several kinds of juice together from time to time, then put them to his mouth for a taste. Sometimes his face lit up with a smile, while other times he squeezed his eyes shut, wrinkled his nose, and looked utterly miserable from the bitterness.
"Little Junior Brother, it's ready! Eat some first." Zhang Xiaofan carried the largest portion on the tray over to Little Fatty.
Luo Yunji lowered his head to look at the delicious food, picked up a mouthful with his chopsticks, then seemed to think of something and put it back.
"I'll eat later. If I eat now, I won't be able to taste the flavors of these mixed waters."
