Zhang Xiaofan hurriedly grabbed Luo Yunji and dragged him off to the side, keeping him well away from the three women seething with rage.
Under the three women's hostile glares, Zhang Xiaofan felt thoroughly overwhelmed. Luo Yunji, however, was still looking them up and down. He even held out his hand and gestured to indicate their sizes.
Bi Yao and Tian Linger stamped their feet in anger. Youji turned her head away with an exasperated look, refusing to look at that hateful Little Fatty.
Just then, Big Yellow and Little Gray came out on their own. They hadn't been hiding very well in the first place. They'd been waiting for Luo Yunji to find them, then take Little Fatty off to look for ingredients so Zhang Xiaofan could make them something tasty!
He hadn't even bothered to look for them all this time. Instead, that unreliable Little Fatty had gone and started playing by himself.
Big Yellow and Little Gray leaped over to Zhang Xiaofan, a little unhappy. Big Yellow rubbed insistently against his legs, while Little Gray sprang straight onto his shoulder and ruffled his hair into a mess.
Once the two women had calmed down a little, Zhang Xiaofan looked at Bi Yao and smiled gratefully. "Bi Yao! Thank you for coming! But I won't leave!"
Seeing the determination in Zhang Xiaofan's eyes, Bi Yao felt deeply disappointed. She knew that someone with that look would never change his mind easily.
"But..." Though Bi Yao knew she couldn't persuade Zhang Xiaofan, she was still worried. "You'll die!" Her voice trembled, almost choked with tears, as she made one last, helpless attempt.
Zhang Xiaofan smiled at Bi Yao. His gaze made her blush a little, but she didn't look away. Instead, she held her ground and met his eyes.
