"It's really that evil thing! Fall back!" The Ghost King leaped up again, trying to get off the ground, but his frozen legs wouldn't budge.
Just then, two soldiers rushed over. One smashed the ice around his legs, while the other carried him back behind the wall of men.
"How are you?" Tian Buyi and Old Ancestor Fengyue asked the Ghost King anxiously.
"I'm fine!" The Ghost King tried rising onto his toes twice.
"Good thing you weren't frozen for long. Otherwise, if Ice Transformation set in, it would've been a real problem." Tian Buyi still remembered how much trouble he'd had getting rid of the Ice Transformation in his arm.
The three suddenly looked at one another, then all froze and turned to look at the soldiers standing in front of them.
"Why are they all right?" The Ghost King was the first to voice the question on everyone's mind.
Tian Buyi's brow furrowed. His own little rascal had been miserable for a long time after so many soldiers died before. He hoped nothing would happen to these forty men following them.
"Master!" He Dazhi seemed to realize something. He called out to Tian Buyi in shock.
"Ice Breath!" Tian Buyi and He Dazhi answered at the same time.
"That thing wasn't produced by a cultivation technique at all. It burrowed into the soldiers' meridians!" He Dazhi analyzed quickly.
Tian Buyi had reached the same conclusion.
"What Ice Breath?" The Ghost King and Old Ancestor Fengyue listened to the master and disciple, utterly baffled. From the sound of it, the two of them knew what that evil thing was.
Tian Buyi and He Dazhi had neither the time nor the inclination to explain it to them.
"Go get the little rascal. We'll give these soldiers a thorough examination!"
He
