Background

Jiang Qian was a Jinping University student in zoology and botany before entering the Super-Species World. His academic specialty makes him unusually suited to understanding the biological basis of the Teng Snake card and its later animalistic manifestations. 34

After a little girl’s invitation drew him into Whispers of the Inner Demon, he cleared the trial, became a Super-Species Player, and selected Hidden Dragon as his Player ID. He received two Divine Beast Identity Cards: the active Teng Snake and a frozen Dragon Card. 14 34

He entered Wanzhong Group and the Orderly Authorities soon afterward, receiving combat instruction from Lan Junxian and Ye Xiaojing. His rapid advancement brought him from reserve personnel to captain, Biological Experiment Center director, and eventually a Special Operations Department role investigating global unconventional-power incidents. 37 109 182 417

Jiang Qian was raised in the Jiang family and regards Jiang Xuesong as his late father. During a later return to Whispers of the Inner Demon, a remnant soul identifies itself as Yun Zhongshuo—Jiang Qian’s biological father—and reveals that the original Jiang Qian had died, forcing Jiang Qian to confront the truth of his identity and inheritance. 413 501 505

Appearance

Jiang Qian is described as a handsome young man whose calm demeanor and professional presentation often draw attention. As an Orderly captain, he wears a crisp shirt, casual trousers, and the red shoulder insignia representing the North. 192 308

  • Handsome enough to be repeatedly called a “pretty boy” by opponents and observers. 308
  • Usually maintains a composed, understated expression even under scrutiny. 192 426
  • Can manifest Teng Snake traits in battle, including Poison Fangs, Scale Armor, and heteromorphic limbs. 81 175
  • Carries doll containers at his waist during dungeon operations. 303

Personality

Jiang Qian is analytical, patient, and highly self-controlled. He approaches dungeons, investigations, and combat as problems to be observed, modeled, and solved; even when hidden, he studies other combatants’ methods to refine his own. 187 301

He habitually conceals his full strength and treats information as a strategic resource. This caution allows him to navigate official institutions, hostile organizations, and shifting alliances without exposing every advantage he possesses. 90 319 544

Despite his cold practicality and willingness to intimidate or kill dangerous opponents, Jiang Qian is capable of considerable empathy. He develops a mutation-treatment method, saves vulnerable patients, gives Chen Bodong a second chance, and prioritizes protecting his family from supernatural threats. 273 275 351

Abilities & Skills

Spirit Vision

Spirit Vision allows Jiang Qian to perceive spiritual substances and living targets across space. It develops from a basic detection ability into a high-dimensional means of reading energy structures and physical or mental conditions. 14 113

  • Detects living beings, threats, energy signatures, and concealed movement. 16 83
  • Supports battlefield observation, trajectory calculation, and long-range targeting. 93 317
  • Allows him to examine and reconstruct unstable energy structures during mutation treatment. 206 273
  • Compatibility Power broadens its field of view and enables him to perceive “nothingness.” 175 275 469

Toxin Physiology

The Teng Snake card grants Jiang Qian exceptional toxin tolerance and the capacity to store, deploy, and refine poison.

  • Poison Resistance lets him absorb potent toxins without bodily harm and mobilize them as part of his physiology. 26
  • Poison Fang manifests as a hooked fang from his finger for close-range killing or injection. 81
  • Venom Sac stores biological poisons, mental contamination, and later abnormal lifeforms. 175
  • Poison Refining improves his ability to actively process and develop toxins. 343
  • After fusing the Hook Snake card, he gains access to its incurable toxin and its associated experience. 387

Stealth, Mobility, and Defense

Jiang Qian’s Teng Snake abilities make him difficult to track, strike, or corner.

  • Snake Shadow Stealth enables rapid, evasive movement and is refined enough to evade automated weapon fire. 14 317
  • Underwater Swimming gives him high-speed aquatic mobility and contributes to his victory over Zhang Nose underwater. 175 264
  • Scale Armor provides defensive coverage, though it can be damaged or stripped under sustained punishment. 175 264
  • Wind Riding expands his movement options after reaching the Third State. 175

Uncanny Manipulation and Mutation Treatment

Jiang Qian can use contamination and strange energy as raw material rather than merely resisting it.

  • Devour the Uncanny lets him absorb eerie pollution sources and uncanny energy. 175 275
  • Uncanny Manipulation allows him to influence or implant living uncanny energy without relying solely on the Fountain Pen. 343
  • By combining Devour the Uncanny, toxin storage, Compatibility Power, and Spirit Vision, he reverses disorder within damaged energy structures. 275
  • He successfully treats Juanjuan, Chen Bodong, and Ye Xiaojing, reducing or reversing their mutation risks. 273 275

Beast Speech and Beast Kings

As a Noble Card holder, Jiang Qian can communicate with and command snake-kind and Beast Kings.

  • Beast Speech (Snake-kind) summons or coordinates snake-type creatures for group attacks. 343
  • He possesses two Beast Kings after the Advancement Ceremony, including the Teng Snake Beast King and a Dragon Beast King. 343 344
  • He later frees the Teng Snake Beast King from the Ancestor God’s control. 528

Dragon Card

The Dragon Card is Jiang Qian’s second Divine Beast Identity Card. Initially frozen, it later unseals, develops independently, and provides abilities that supplement or magnify his Teng Snake foundation. 14 269 344

  • Intimidation exerts draconic pressure against opponents. 344
  • Reverse Scale provides extreme defense and rebounds attacks. 344
  • Dragon Tooth grants a direct offensive option. 344
  • Frenzy creates a powerful burst of strength at significant cost. 344
  • Cloud Gallop enables long-range movement when clouds provide cover. 344
  • Same-Kind Compatibility allows him to acquire power by hunting and fusing Dragon-type Cards. 344 387
  • Sea Embrace, Return to Origin, and Reproduction unlock when the Dragon Card reaches peak Fifth State. 481

Authorities

  • Inspired Insight — Teng Snake Authority that activates during life-threatening danger or severe injury to break a deadlock; forcing it outside such conditions causes backlash. 359
  • Same-Kind Compatibility — Dragon Authority that enables unusual growth through compatible Dragon-type Cards. 344 548
  • Emperor’s Bearing, Emperor’s Discernment, and Grand Pardon — Dragon-card Authorities gained following the Noble Card upgrade. 344

Demon Avatars

Jiang Qian uses the Little Devil Set and related avatars in combat, though the hidden trial later reveals that the seven Demon Clones originally belonged to Yun Zhongshuo rather than Jiang Qian. 16 479 505

  • Summons the Sorrow Demon to create and train against a double. 16
