Background

The Iron-winged Vulture was one of several fourth-tier magical beasts occupying the former territory of the vanished Wild Mountain Macaque Dragon Clan in the Wild Mountain Range. Its clan was one of the region's remaining fourth-tier beast tribes alongside the Flame Wolf Unicorn Clan and Mountain-moving Ape Clan. 14

It joined the Flame Wolf Unicorn and Mountain-moving Ape in an ambush against Zhu Jin, intending to consume the young dragon's flesh and blood. The vulture regarded Zhu Jin as an ordinary dragon beast, unaware that he was an Ancient Void Dragon. 9

Appearance

A massive vulture-like flying magical beast with a fifteen-meter wingspan. Its wings and feathers possess a metallic quality.

Story Role

The Iron-winged Vulture arrived during the Wild Mountain Range ambush and landed behind Zhu Jin to block his retreat. It openly declared its desire to eat dragon flesh and drink dragon blood, believing its five-star Dou Ling cultivation and aerial advantage would overwhelm Zhu Jin. 9

It initiated the battle with Iron Feather Flying Swords, but Zhu Jin charged through the projectile storm under Battle Qi Dragon Armor, seized the vulture's wings, and shattered its metallic feathers. 9

Zhu Jin then grabbed one wing, repeatedly smashed the vulture into the ground hard enough to destroy a mountain peak, pinned it after its beak attack failed to incapacitate him, and tore off both wings. The Eagle King was left near death before the Flame Wolf Unicorn and Mountain-moving Ape could intervene. 10

After defeating all three fourth-tier magical beasts, Zhu Jin stored the Iron-winged Vulture's corpse for food. He later roasted and ate its severed wings; their energy partially ground down one spike of his Dou Crystal. 11 12
