The Storm Horn stronghold was previously a level 55 dungeon, so after clearing it, they only obtained 1,200 NPC production points. Due to certain reasons that were inconvenient to disclose, they had produced one level 100 NPC and six level 80 NPCs.
Bang!!!
A figure was sent flying in a sorry state, slamming into a wall. A monster wreathed in flames followed him inside, clutching a small girl with cat ears and a tail in its hand.
The intruder had the head of a lion, a crocodile's foreclaw for a left hand, a werewolf's massive paw for a right hand, and griffin wings on its back. Its feline-like legs stood firmly on the ground. [Beast King Mekong], Beast Mode.
He walked into the room and looked at the dazzling array of gold coins and vast quantities of basic supplies, his eyes filled with immense greed. With these resources, he thought to himself, I can save a lot of time in the early stages once we establish our guild.
HP -12.
The small girl held in his hand, though unable to break free from his restraint, was still struggling hard.
Mekong lifted her up in front of him, watching her soft, weak punches land on his arm, and couldn't help but sneer.
"I'd heard this group was full of furries, but I didn't expect them to set up such fragile internal defenses for their stronghold just to satisfy their own kinks."
Variable Talisman walked in just in time to hear him speak and chuckled teasingly.
"Maybe it's because they have several other groups around them, keeping the stronghold protected in the center. If you like them, we can create a few beast-ear girls of our own once we start our guild."
Beast King Mekong exerted force, and the beast-eared girl in his hand shuddered, gradually stopped reacting, and then dissolved into streams of data, vanishing from his grip.
He shook his head and said to Variable Talisman, who was standing to the side.
"We'll talk about that later. Let's finish our mission first. You take the gold and resources here, and I'll go take care of that NPC."
As soon as he finished speaking, the NPC that had been knocked against the wall finally moved again. Looking closely, she was also a beast-eared girl created by a furry enthusiast.
A pair of fox ears sat atop her long red hair, and her two fluffy tails were standing straight up. She wore a pair of azure gauntlets on her hands; judging by her weapon, she was likely a brawler-class build.
As soon as she stood up, she charged toward the two of them. Beast King Mekong leaped, and the two began to grapple.
They traded blows intensely, exchanging punch for punch and kick for kick. She landed a strike on Mekong's abdomen, but he seized the opportunity to grab her wrist, pulled her toward him, and delivered a knee strike to her stomach. While she was still in a state of stun, he grabbed her tail with one hand, leaped into the air, and used the momentum of a spin to stomp on her back, slamming her hard into the ground.
Boom!! A massive sound echoed through the air, as if the very atmosphere were trembling from the force.
The ground sank under the impact, and the HP of the beast-eared girl beneath his feet dropped to zero.
The girl dissolved into data and vanished from under Mekong's feet. He frowned, watching the data slowly coalesce to the side; it was clear that some kind of resurrection item or racial trait had been triggered.
A moment later, the data vanished, but the resurrected girl no longer looked even remotely human. A giant, fiery fox glared at him with fierce eyes, its thick limbs crouched on the ground, and blue flames burned intensely on its two tails.
She let out a low growl and lunged at Mekong like an arrow released from a bow.
Seeing this, Mekong did not retreat but quickly took action.
He shifted his body to the side, skillfully dodging the giant fox's first pounce, and immediately countered with a punch to its chest.
However, his fist felt as if it had struck solid stone. The giant fox only swayed slightly before continuing its charge.
As Mekong dodged to the side, the flames on the giant fox's tails suddenly spread across its entire body, turning it into a massive fireball. The fireball changed direction in mid-air and smashed directly into him.
Bang. The fireball slammed Mekong to the ground and transformed back into the giant fox. Now the tables had turned, and Mekong was pinned beneath the giant fox, unable to move.
Just as the giant fox raised a claw to strike, a bolt of magic slammed into its torso, sending it flying to the side.
Variable Talisman lowered his hand, pulled two high-level healing potions from his bag, tossed them to Mekong, and waved his hand complainingly.
"Drag it outside to fight. You two are really interfering with my resource collection."
"Nagging. Just hurry up and do your job."
Mekong gulped down two potions and pulled out a giant hammer. As the giant fox lunged at him, he performed a slide tackle. When their positions overlapped, Mekong swung his giant hammer with all his might, smashing the giant fox out the door.
"Keep time for me. I'll finish it in three minutes."
After saying this, he followed it out the door. Variable Talisman shrugged helplessly; some people just loved to show off, even though they could have finished it quickly if they had worked together.
He took a timer from his bag and watched the seconds tick by, letting out a soft laugh.
"What an interesting guy."
He lowered his head and continued collecting the gold and resources in the room, mentally calculating the next area to raid.
Bang, slap, boom.
Outside, the battle between Mekong and the giant fox had reached a fever pitch.
The giant fox's flames and Mekong's giant hammer clashed in the air, emitting roars of impact.
Although Mekong was powerful, the giant fox's strength was clearly superior. Fortunately, other than turning into flames for pursuit, it had no other special abilities in this form.
Mekong constantly adjusted his tactics, trying to find the giant fox's weakness.
Three minutes passed quickly, but the battle was still not over.
Mekong was growing impatient. He took a deep breath, gathered all his strength, and swung his giant hammer in a perfect arc through the air while charging at the giant fox with his fist clenched.
He lunged to pin the giant fox in place, and the hammer in the air followed the momentum, slamming heavily into the creature.
The giant fox let out a shrill cry, tumbled through the air a few times, and the flames on its tails began to envelop it again. However, this time, Mekong did not give it the chance.
He grabbed his giant hammer and rained blows down on the giant fox's head. Finally, after a few weak kicks, the giant fox collapsed, unwilling to accept defeat.
Mekong walked over to the giant fox and breathed a sigh of relief as he watched its data gradually dissipate.
"Whew, finally finished. NPCs that specialize in a single attribute are really hard to deal with..."
He turned and walked back into the room, where Variable Talisman had already finished collecting the gold and resources.
"You took four minutes."
Variable Talisman looked at him, a playful smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
Mekong scratched his head in embarrassment and laughed.
"Accident. Just an accident."
The two shared a laugh and then left the warehouse they had thoroughly looted.
Behind them, the stronghold's gates slowly closed, as if nothing had ever happened.
