A research vessel sailed through space.
Inside, there were no pre-fabricated factories, no mass-produced scientists, and no crew members—only warehouses packed with weapons and a terrifying arsenal of assembly lines.
Gauss Rifles were dispatched to the soldiers the moment they rolled off the production line.
War machines were lined up in perfect rows, equipped with the finest weapons.
Everything except for their power units had been stripped away.
Only the roar of the production lines remained within the steel chambers.
Gamma World had converted the research vessel into a mobile armory.
Along the route, it continuously forged horrifying weapons of war.
[Entering orbit]
[Decelerating and locking on, deploying transport ships]
The hatches of the research vessel opened slowly.
From within the void, the research vessel released transport ships ferrying supplies from Gamma World.
Ignited plasma flares erupted behind the transports, creating several blue Mach cones.
They carried a vast number of elite combat troops from Gamma World.
Titan-like tanks crafted from Ceramite fell from the sky like rain.
Several space torpedoes, loaded with terrifying payloads, streaked toward the enemy's undefended warships.
[Deploying airborne units]
[Deploying tank divisions]
All forces were unleashed.
On the ground.
The battlefield was constantly shifting, and the front lines were being compressed.
Driven from the first line of defense to the second, and then pushed back to small pockets of resistance, the scales of war were being tipped by the Chaos Space Marines.
"The enemies are too fast!"
"Hold! You must hold at all costs!"
Whoosh!
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Drop Pods descended from the sky one after another.
An endless stream of Chaos soldiers joined the fray.
After one wave was slaughtered, another took its place.
These Chaos forces brought a sense of exhaustion and despair, as if they were infinite.
Why were there still more?
Were the enemies endless?
Despair.
"Lord Brown!"
"Stop the chatter and hold the line. The enemy is at the end of their rope."
Brown felt a touch of fatigue. Operating his Power Armor for so long, combined with the mental focus required to lock onto enemies, had taken a heavy toll on his spirit.
But he could not fall.
His Gauss Rifle had long since overloaded, its energy depleted, rendering him unable to fire the Fear Ray to hold back the enemy.
Yet, he still had to stand tall.
"Just you wait. When this old man gets back, and when the team I lead researches even stronger, more durable, and more efficient weapons, I will make you xenos burn in the vacuum of space."
"This old man... I hold a grudge! A very (grinding teeth) deep one!!!"
Gritting his teeth, Brown activated his Power Armor's shield, desperately tanking damage at the front for the troops behind him.
His gaze constantly flickered toward the direction Cisrain had departed.
He was worried, but he could not walk away.
These emotions eventually distilled into an ultimate rage toward these Chaos creatures.
He needed bigger, stronger, more terrifying firepower.
He needed efficient, lethal, and cruel weapons of destruction.
He needed it.
He needed it.
He needed everything, every last bit of it.
Boom!
An explosion rang out.
A Gamma warrior who had attempted to take his enemy down with him was crushed into the dirt as a massive object from the sky slammed into the Chaos Space Marine.
The giant object split open from the middle, much like the automated factories, but this one was packed with Gauss Rifles that automatically identified and targeted enemies on the battlefield.
Whoosh!
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Airborne units began to descend onto the battlefield.
On the transport ships, the hatches opened, and countless green beams of light fired down from the sky.
"Lord Brown, reinforcements have arrived."
"Reinforcements?"
"Reinforcements? Heh, they'll only see a pile of your corpses! Your lord will have his blood drained, your territory will become our new backyard, and you—"
The Chaos Space Marine, who had not yet finished speaking, suddenly found himself shorter. He didn't even know when his legs had vanished. The green light on his stumps continued to spread upward, decomposing his body, breaking his frame down into its smallest atoms.
He looked back toward the sky.
A warship was plummeting toward the ground.
A burning warship.
Friction with the atmosphere caused it to burn violently, billowing thick, black smoke.
That... that was their warship!!!
"No!"
However, the only response he received was the cold, green light.
As if being swept away like trash, his body was completely decomposed by the green rays fired from the Gauss Rifles.
On the transport ships in the sky, elite soldiers from Gamma World were landing.
Dozens of green beams launched a counterattack against the remaining Chaos forces.
"I don't have the patience or time to play games with you."
Cisrain had no patience for these back-and-forth tug-of-war games. He still had a dozen Chaos Beacons to deal with. Compared to those, the enemies before him were mere small fry. Spending too much time on them was clearly not what he wanted.
He had long anticipated that the rear lines would be breached.
He knew well that the defensive lines could never fully hold off the enemy.
But Gamma World was not a flower in a greenhouse.
People needed war to grow.
And having been baptized by battle, they would understand the cruelty of war in this universe, and the price that had to be paid for Gamma World to step out into the stars.
As for himself, he had already done his best to clear their worries.
Now, the reinforcements had arrived.
He, too, needed to pick up the pace and finish his mission.
Cisrain stepped on the body of a Chaos Space Marine.
His axe cleaved through the shoulder, splitting the heart in two.
Walking over the opponent, Cisrain pulled his axe free.
Drop Pods from the sky landed continuously around him.
The surrounding Chaos forces, under the control of the 'Psykers' hiding in the shadows, marched toward him.
Cisrain shook the blood off his axe, and the giant blade began to burn with a golden Holy Flame.
"..."
These Chaos Space Marines clearly hailed from different legions.
They had stolen the Gene-seed from those Space Marines, polluted the holy genes with the corruption of the Warp, and bred these minions of Chaos.
One by one, the Chaos Space Marines surrounded Cisrain.
Some held axes, others gripped Thunder Hammers, some wielded the Chainswords of the Imperium, and others raised Power Halberds—yet, not one dared to step forward.
The Chaos Space Marines, dead on the ground like mere mortals, had paved the path to his 'godhood' beneath his feet.
And their battleship, destroyed because they had failed to activate their shields, was currently plummeting from the sky.
They had lost.
They had actually lost in their own backyard.
"Get out of the way."
Bathed in holy light, Cisrain stood among the many Chaos forces like a true angel, causing the Chaos Space Marines to recoil in involuntary fear.
