He did not know why.
A bizarre thought kept flashing through his mind: he wanted to grab that pointy-headed bastard by the topknot on his head and rip it off.
Then stomp on his face and grind it into pulp.
Though he had no idea why such an absurd thought had suddenly arisen, he did not have time to dwell on it.
He had a special mission: obtain the Webway key needed by Gamma World.
He did not know what the Webway key was.
Nor did he know where it was kept.
Still less did he know whether someone had already taken it away.
But he had received a star-map image showing Vashtorr's physical appearance.
The relevant mission description stated that he only needed to follow him. Once he saw what the other party was holding, he was to beat him up and snatch it from his hands.
If the other party resisted and there were too many enemies to handle, he was to urgently summon more soldiers rather than hold out alone. If he could handle them and there were few people around the target, he was still to summon more soldiers to join the battle. If they could gang up on them, they absolutely were not to fight one-on-one. If possible, they should strip the target bare and loot everything on him—that would be best.
Thus, the angel's target was not Abaddon before him, but Vashtorr alone.
At the sight of the angel, Abaddon was filled with doubts. Hadn't the angel been devoured by the Four Gods?
Why were there still traces of the angel?
Was this a clone?
No. If it were a clone, it would not evoke such emotional turmoil in him. This one felt like the angel Sanguinius of old.
Just as irritating as Sanguinius
