How long had they wandered in the Warp?
They could no longer remember.
But now, they had finally found a way home from the Warp.
To them, this was an exhilarating prospect.

For those who had been supporting the Imperium's frontiers when the Warp storms descended, they could finally resume their voyages. With the Astronomican relit, many could also re-establish contact with the Astropaths within the Adeptus Astra Telepathica and learn everything that had happened to the Imperium.
Even the planetary worlds, Knight houses, and Forge Worlds near the Imperium's dark side, where Warp rifts had created the Great Rift,
saw the Imperium's relit Astronomican through the Astropaths' communications.
The Astronomican was like a torch of hope.
The Imperium's Astronomican had been relit. This meant that the Imperium had not lost all contact, that it had not yet reached its worst hour. The brief loss of contact and the dimming of the Astronomican had thrown them into panic, but through expeditions and other means, the Imperium had reclaimed what it had lost and relit the Astronomican.
All of this showed that the Imperium was gradually improving.
Once the Imperium recovered, it would surely reclaim other territories.
Thus, these people were filled with hope once more. They had once despaired, believing they would watch themselves be destroyed alongside the Imperium. But now, it seemed the Imperium had not been destroyed. They still had hope. So long as they held on, the Imperium would send people to support them.
All they had to do now was resist these forces of Chaos with everything they had.
And establish new communications with the Imperium as quickly as possible.
Astropaths and Navigator families alike were doing everything they could to communicate with Terra, hoping for every piece of good news from Terra
