Abaddon stood amid the battlefield's psychic howls.

He looked up at the enormous void whale.

Even Greater Daemons of Chaos would avoid these troublesome creatures at first sight rather than confront them. Yet Abaddon, standing amid the boiling sea of psychic energy, sensed that the battlefield was filled with conceptual forces.

This power of conceptual erasure could, with one careless misstep, erase him as well.

Abaddon tried his best to see who was inside.

Who had made the four Chaos Gods join forces against them, even going so far as to use dreadful powers to erase them? Even Abaddon knew that such conceptual power came with a price that had to be repaid.

If it was not repaid, even the four Gods would not be willing to bear the cost.

The shrieking psychic energy swept past.

Golden flames erupted from a body.

Then the golden flames formed into a spear and slashed directly toward the enormous void whale.

"You killed my people!"

"You're courting death!"

Then—

The physical laws of reality contained within that golden figure resisted the void whale's devouring maw, breaking free of the chains the four Gods had formed through runes and Warp laws as well.

The four Gods possessed far too many divine artifacts.

Nurgle drew out a bizarre wooden staff, brimming with vigorous life yet also carrying the decay of death.

The creation hanging from it, woven from Nurgling bodies like strips of white cloth, was another of Nurgle's staffs.

Slaanesh raised the Sword of Death it had collected, while Tzeentch swung its staff.

Elsewhere across the battlefield, Tzeentch's other mercury god-mirrors and Spirit Stones appeared at the same time.

These objects continuously emerged across the battlefield, suppressing Cisrain once more.

After seeing the battlefield—

Abaddon decisively withdrew.

It was not because he was afraid.
