Sirin stared at the giant egg before her. She had not expected it to really be an egg, and such an enormous one at that. An egg dozens of meters tall was way too terrifying!
But... her knight?
Indeed, the giant egg before her did give Sirin a faint sense of familiarity, but... that did not seem to be what drew her here the most.
"No... it isn't it."
Sirin shook her head. She had been drawn here... not because of this Emperor-class Honkai beast. Perhaps it was part of the reason, but definitely not the main one.
"I never thought it really was an egg. I wonder how big a pan we'd need to fry it?"
Higokumaru floated in the air, observing the Emperor-class Honkai beast Assaka as it incubated inside the egg. She imagined turning it into a fried egg. If it did not spoil... it would probably be enough to feed everyone for years, right?
With that thought, Higokumaru curiously drifted closer to the giant egg and reached out her little hand to touch it. But in the next second, her expression suddenly changed...
Her small hand passed straight through the giant egg without encountering the slightest resistance.
"Th-this... what's going on?"
Higokumaru pulled back her hand and found that nothing had happened to it, but she had not touched anything at all. Could the giant egg before them be an illusion... a fake?
Higokumaru tried again and found that she could still pass through it.
"Big Sis, there's something wrong with this egg! I'll go in first and see what's going on."
