However, Otto had long since noticed their plan. Though the pursuing forces he dispatched failed to capture Siegfried, they did bring Kiana back. To ensure Kiana's safety, Theresa had no choice but to return to Schicksal. Siegfried subsequently became a wanted man, while Theresa escaped punishment thanks to Otto's protection.
