Watching the arrow fly toward her, Himeko raised both hands... a crimson greatsword appeared in her grasp. With no intention of dodging, she swung it directly at the incoming arrow.
The next moment, the greatsword struck the arrow... shattering it to pieces!
"A bow-wielding zombie... a Ranger Zombie?"
Looking at the girl on the rooftop ahead, she was also a zombie... and closely resembled the Ranger Zombies often encountered in the game.
As mentioned before, zombies came in two kinds. One was the low-level kind, very similar to ordinary zombies, like the zombie girls from before.
The other kind was high-level zombies with powerful supernatural abilities. These high-level zombies included every zombie type that appeared in the game.
Unlike low-level zombies, these ones possessed considerable combat ability and even special powers. Beyond that... they had extremely strong combat instincts and awareness, making them no different from humans.
Yet they cared nothing for their own lives. To achieve their goals, they would charge into danger without hesitation, like moths rushing into flames.
That was why they were called zombies!
They were like the death-sworn retainers secretly trained by influential figures in ancient feudal societies, willing to offer up their lives to complete their missions. To avoid being captured should they fail, they would usually take poison before carrying out a mission, such as smearing poison between their teeth.
Likewise, these zombie girls were all Honkai death-sworn. They would willingly give their lives for the Honkai and the Herrschers.
The term "desperate" originated from the Spanish word "desperado," which once referred to mad thugs, desperadoes, or fanatics who would stop at nothing and disregard life and death. Today, the term "death-sworn" has a broader meaning, generally referring to extremists with exceptional skills who disregard consequences.
And these zombie girls fit
