Najenda received her appointment and became the boss of an assassination organization serving as the Revolutionary Army's advance unit.
However, Najenda herself had to choose the specific assassins in the organization. She could request personnel from within the Revolutionary Army or find people herself, as long as she sent back their information for investigation to ensure their safety.
From within the Revolutionary Army and the forces allied with it, Najenda selected only four people: Bulat, who had likewise defected from the Empire; Lubbock, the son of a wealthy merchant; Chelsea from an assassination society; and Mine, a mixed-race girl from the western border whom she thought highly of.
All four were Imperial Arms Users. Bulat had obtained an Imperial Arm when he defected. He had not been familiar with it at the time, but now he had become one of the Revolutionary Army's strongest fighters.
As for Lubbock, his family owned an Imperial Arm. After all, he was the son of a wealthy merchant, so even Imperial Arms could be collected. However, because he liked Najenda and had fallen in love with her at first sight, after Najenda betrayed the Empire, he created a false identity of his own death with almost no hesitation and began following her.
As for Mine...
Mine herself did not have an Imperial Arm. The Imperial Arm in her hands now was actually Najenda's former Imperial Arm, Pumpkin.
Although giving Pumpkin to Mine greatly weakened Najenda herself, firstly, as the future commander-in-chief, she would generally not need to go to the front lines. Secondly... Mine's wavelength was even more compatible with Pumpkin than Najenda's.
Combined with Mine's background, Najenda ultimately chose to grant Pumpkin to Mine.
However, Mine had previously been assigned another mission, so she was the last to arrive for this gathering.
