After jumping down from the cross, Bonnie quickly headed toward the center of the Path of Peace army. Her goal was simple... the upper echelons of the Path of Peace, including its archbishops, leader, and Imperial Arms Users.
Bonnie moved incredibly fast, so fast that she left afterimages in her wake. When she neared the Path of Peace followers, she leaped into the air and slammed down with one foot.
She hit the ground like a thousand-jin weight, kicking up several yards of dirt and sending dozens of nearby Path of Peace followers flying.
"By the authority of Lady Durandal, I'm here to arrest the Path of Peace's leaders. If you don't want to die, surrender now!"
Bonnie slowly stood up, chest out and chin raised, and looked at the Path of Peace commander ahead of her. She spoke in a stern voice.
"Durandal..."
At the mention of Durandal's name, the Path of Peace commander was startled. How could they not know of Durandal? Her name was practically legendary.
But...
The Path of Peace commander glanced behind Bonnie. Though a force had made it back to the city walls, it wasn't a large one.
"You've got to be kidding me. How dare a little girl like you make such a bold claim!"
Durandal was powerful, and they were somewhat afraid of her, but how could they simply surrender? It was absurd.
"Overthrowing the Empire is the will of God. Even General Durandal will meet a dead end if she dares defy God's will. Besides... you think a little girl like you can arrest God's representative in this world? Ridiculous! Men, seize her!"
With victory so close, no one would accept surrendering just because Durandal said so. The Path of Peace leaders didn't bother with further discussion. One of them waved
