These were Herrschers. Especially after watching that video... she had roughly seen the strength of the Herrschers before her. Their very existence was a natural disaster!
If they had not shown that they could be reasoned with and had not lost their minds... she would never have considered trying to recruit Herrschers. Of course, that was only part of the reason. The reason she dared to come... dared to stand before Herrschers, was what she carried on her back.
The Divine Key, Oath of Judah!
As the Eleventh Divine Key, Judah was a weapon made from the core of the Eleventh Herrscher of the Previous Era, the Herrscher of Binding. It could limit energy intensity, sever the flow and conversion of energy, and combine with the power of Stigmata!
Generally, only Herrschers could defeat Herrschers—setting aside a few overpowered freaks. Divine Keys were made from Herrscher cores, making them quintessential anti-Herrscher weapons.
Facing the Herrschers before her, Theresa did not believe she could definitely recruit them. They might even set their sights on her instead. So... she had kept Judah's Zeroth Power, God's Grace Barrier, ready at all times.
God's Grace Barrier... was an ability similar to that of the Eleventh Herrscher of the Previous Era. When Judah unleashed its Zeroth Power, it would deploy a massive barrier that nullified all Honkai energy. Other forms of energy would also be affected to varying degrees. Even most Herrschers would be unable to move freely within Judah's barrier.
Of course... Judah's user would also be affected by the barrier and could even face mortal danger.
