The bird demon, with wings on its back, a bird's head, a human body, and a trident in its hands, could not help but brighten at the sight of Higokumaru. It had its fox coat!
Worried that the others would be too reckless and damage the fox pelt before it, the trident-wielding bird demon immediately sped up and rushed ahead of them to Higokumaru.
It did not sense any pressure from Higokumaru at all. Clearly, she was not someone formidable, so there was nothing to fear.
"Die! I'll generously take your fox pelt for myself."
The bird demon was the first to appear before Higokumaru. Wielding its trident infused with wind-element demon power, it thrust at Higokumaru's neck. It thought Higokumaru's fox head looked rather nice and could be kept along with the coat as an ornament.
However... as the bird demon charged at her, Higokumaru raised a front paw burning with Fox Fire and swiped at it.
The trident in its hands shattered into several pieces!
"How could this happen? My trident is a divine artifact I stole from that river god!"
Staring at its trident, now broken into several sections, the bird demon froze. But Higokumaru had no intention of explaining anything. Her paw continued downward, tearing the bird demon into chunks of flesh.
"Big Sis, this demon was really weak!"
After killing the bird demon with one swipe, Higokumaru spoke in surprise.
"Isn't that obvious? Hurry up and finish them all off."
Yae Sakura was helpless at those words...
She was a Herrscher. Weren't cannon-fodder demons like these one swipe each?
"Okay!"
Seeing the other demons closing in, Higokumaru stopped wasting time. She opened her mouth and spewed an enormous stream of flames
