"Resurrection?"
Kikyo looked at Yae Sakura, unable to quite process it. But on second thought, it did not seem like such a big deal. Yae Sakura could travel through countless worlds and produce the Hourai Elixir that granted immortality and eternal youth. Resurrection... was probably normal too, right?
"Yes."
Yae Sakura nodded again.
"...What is the cost?"
After hesitating for a while, Kikyo did not immediately ask Yae Sakura to do it, instead asking in return. If there was any serious cost, she would not let Yae Sakura do it.
People were selfish. Even she was no exception.
Though it was regrettable, Yae Sakura was clearly more important.
"It's not a big problem. The requirements need to be met, and it can't be used often." After some thought, Yae Sakura gave a half-truthful answer. She had several ways to resurrect others and herself, but she was afraid Kikyo would ask her to revive everyone who had died.
Even she probably would not be able to handle that!
Besides, there was no need. The cycle of life and death was one of the most natural things in this world. Arbitrarily changing life and death on a large scale did not feel right.
Yae Sakura still trusted Kikyo's character, but this Kikyo was Yang Kikyo. Without her dark side, Yae Sakura could not be certain of what she was thinking. It was better to be cautious.
"Then I'll leave it to you, Sakura!"
Kikyo set the little girl down.
"Not here. Let's go somewhere else!"
Yae Sakura was worried there might still be watchers nearby. Reviving the girl here would only make her a target again.
"That's true..."
"Have I arrived in the world after death?"
At the edge of a stream, within a barrier that ordinary people could not see,
