"Lady Yae, Lady Kikyo, you're back!"
Hanako set down her cleaning tools and slowly walked over. She had not seen Kikyo for quite some time, either. Now, after more than fifty years, Lady Yae had appeared again—and had brought Lady Kikyo back as well.
Just like more than fifty years ago, it seemed as though nothing had changed. The only difference... was that she had gone from a little child to an old woman with one foot in the grave.
"Hanako, why are you here?"
Yae Sakura quickly walked over to Hanako's side and supported her.
"No one was at the shrine, so I came over to clean today. I didn't expect you to come back today."
Supported by Yae Sakura, Grandma Hanako looked somewhat flattered as she explained.
"We can handle the cleaning. Hanako, you should rest first!" Seeing the sweat on Hanako's forehead, Yae Sakura waved her hand... and a cool breeze swept through, carrying away the sweat from her body.
"It's fine. I can still handle this little bit of work."
"Be good. Let's go inside first."
Although Hanako was an old woman, Yae Sakura still treated her as a junior. After all, regardless of appearances, she was several hundred years older than Hanako. Hanako seemed to respond well to this, no longer insisting, and went into the shrine with the others.
But as they entered, Yae Sakura noticed a little girl beside the entrance. It was Xiangzi, the Zashiki-warashi from Hanako's home.
At the moment, her face was full of conflict as she looked at Yae Sakura and Kagome... She wanted to come closer, but because Kikyo and Tanihara Natsu were strangers, she did not dare approach.
Just then, Kagome noticed Xiangzi as well and hurriedly greeted her, beckoning for her to come over...
Seeing Kagome's
