"Shikigami?"
She had initially thought this only concerned Kaguya, but after hearing Inuyasha's words, Yae Sakura could not help but form other suspicions.
So there really was someone behind all of this?
She also recalled the Blue-Faced Demon they had encountered before. That had been a shikigami as well. That person... she now had someone in mind.
"Then why are you here? Did something of yours get stolen too?" While Yae Sakura was thinking, Inuyasha curiously continued questioning her.
"More or less... Hm? What's going on?"
Just as she was about to explain the situation to Inuyasha, Immortal Mountain suddenly began to shake.
Could the volcano be erupting? After all, this was a dormant active volcano.
No, that was not it! It was not a volcanic eruption.
Then it could only mean... Kaguya had appeared.
"Over there... let's go take a look."
She pointed in one direction. The three exchanged glances... then headed toward the source of the tremors together.
Inuyasha was incredibly fast. Though he could not fly, powerful leaps were practically instinctive to him, each jump carrying him dozens of meters. As for Yae Sakura and Kikyo... they had no intention of running themselves. The distance was still considerable, so they naturally chose transportation... Higokumaru.
Within seconds of the two mounting Higokumaru, they caught up with Inuyasha.
Before long, the three arrived at one of the Fuji Five Lakes—and the largest among them, Lake Yamanaka!
When Yae Sakura and Kikyo had come before, they had observed the Fuji Five Lakes. They had all been ordinary freshwater lakes, with nothing on their surfaces. But now... a Castle of Illusions built atop the waters had appeared in the middle of Lake Yamanaka at some unknown time.
It was an ancient Japanese-style palace. Even Kyoto's imperial palace might not surpass it.
