The next day...
On a spring morning, the damp breeze drifted gently in through the open glass window, lightly brushing over everything before quietly departing. Pale daylight filled every corner as well, painting the door in a dreamy shade of white.
When Miss Fox woke up, she picked up the phone beside her pillow and checked the time. It was only a little past seven. Hmm... there was still plenty of time.
Smelling the fragrance lingering on the blanket, she narrowed her eyes again, ready to sleep a little longer. With nothing urgent to do and no chance of making much progress in her training anytime soon, she had grown somewhat lazy these past few years.
Breathing in Kagome's scent from the blanket, she sighed and opened her eyes again. What a shame Kagome was not here. Otherwise, hugging a fragrant, beautiful body pillow would have been even more comfortable, even if she did nothing at all.
Because of their unusual relationship, neither of them stood much on ceremony. Sleeping together was perfectly normal. Right now, she was sleeping in Kagome Higurashi's room.
Come to think of it, Kagome Higurashi had become more mature now, looking as though she were in her early twenties. Once she had reached that age in appearance, her looks had stopped changing much.
Compared to Kagome in her girlhood, mature, married Kagome... was even more charming. Sadly, she was not here right now. She had gone to some small country in Europe for who knew what reason. Even when called, she would not tell her, only saying to keep it secret for now and wait until she returned.
As for when she would return, it would only be a few days...
