Inside a church.
A sacred wedding was about to begin, but there were not many attendees—only the Higurashi family, along with the church staff.
"Why haven't Aunt Kagome and the others come out yet?"
Higurashi Mei sat beside Sota Higurashi, looking around with fresh curiosity. The church had been arranged beautifully, and she loved it.
"It's not time yet. We still have to wait a little longer..."
Sota Higurashi comforted his daughter. Thinking back to when he had first met Yae Sakura as a child, he remembered how drawn he had been to the fox immortal.
He had even often dreamed of marrying her back then. Although the fox immortal was incredibly old... several hundred years old—more than old enough to be his ancestor—that did not matter!
Even so, he knew his place... The fox immortal had no interest in him, and there was no possibility between them. Later, he met his current wife. Though their life was ordinary... it was happy.

Sota Higurashi looked at his wife beside him. She was also very curious about this. A marriage between people of the same sex... She had never expected it to happen so close to home.

He then looked at his mother. Mama Higurashi waited with a bright smile. She was very open-minded... She did not care about the uniqueness of this wedding at all. She only offered her blessings.
As far as Mama Higurashi was concerned, as long as her children could be happy, nothing else mattered.
Old Man Higurashi had initially refused to come no
