As they continued forward, Klee was no longer running so fast. She simply swaggered ahead of Theresa and Higokumaru with her backpack on her back.
"Watch out!"
Having sensed something, Higokumaru hurriedly called out a warning.
Before Klee could react, a Grass Slime suddenly sprang out of the ground ahead and charged straight at her with clear intent.
"It's a Slime! Watch me dodge successfully..."
Seeing the Slime rush at her, Klee quickly darted to the side. But the Slime was too fast; before she could get out of the way, it slammed into her.
"Dodge failed..."
Klee felt herself being sent flying by something soft, though it did not hurt as much as she had imagined.
"Red Jade Bomb!"
Higokumaru reacted at once and threw a fireball at the Grass Slime. However, sensing danger, the Grass Slime immediately burrowed underground, causing Higokumaru's little fireball to miss.
"Klee, are you okay?"
Theresa jogged over to Klee, pulled her up, and took out a bottle of healing potion for her.
"Klee is fine. What's this?"
Klee curiously accepted the healing potion in Theresa's hand. The bottle glittered... it was very pretty.
"A healing potion. Drink it if you get hurt."
"Is it an alchemy potion? But Klee is fine. It doesn't hurt when a Grass Slime bumps into you." Klee mistook it for an alchemy potion. She knew about those... As she spoke, she handed the potion back to Theresa. She did not need it.
"Take it even if you're fine! You can use it if something happens later."
"Mm, then Klee will take it! Next time, Klee will prepare a gift for you too." Klee accepted the potion without ceremony. When she got something good next time, she could just give it to Theresa. They were friends, after all.
