Only now did the other spider monsters react. Looking at the human atop the Giant Spider Monster's corpse, they realized she was not the same person they had targeted before.
She was not the gray-haired human woman the Queen had ordered them to kill, but a white-haired woman wearing a Mask. The greatsword in her hand filled every spider monster with terror, leaving them frozen for a moment.
Their target had vanished, replaced by an unfamiliar human. The spider monsters hesitated over whether to continue fighting. After all, the Queen's designated target had been the gray-haired human, not this woman.
But the spider monsters soon made their move!
This human woman was surely connected to their target, and she had killed one of their Giant Spider Monsters. How could they possibly let her go, no matter how terrifying the flaming greatsword in her hand was?
"Looks like Skyfire's flames are especially effective against you!"
Having just switched to the Valkyrie Sixth Serenade, "Kallen," even with Kaslana blood running through her veins and despite being an S-rank Valkyrie who wielded ice, her life force continued to drain as she used the Skyfire Greatsword.
There was no denying that these spider monsters were powerful, but their weakness was obvious now. They feared intense flames, and the Skyfire of the Divine Keys was their absolute nemesis!
Although the spider monsters feared her Skyfire Greatsword, they still charged at her. Kallen showed no fear whatsoever. She leaped down from the Giant Spider Monster's corpse and rushed forward!
"Calamity Fire!!"
Skyfire surged along the greatsword. Kallen's fair hands... now resembled roasted meat, even giving off a fragrant smell. Honkai energy of the ice element could not completely ignore such terrifying flames.
Yet even as Skyfire burned her own body, Kallen did not let go. Raising
