The Middle Stratum held no danger and plenty of delicious food. Though it was scorching hot, it was nothing to Kumoko and the others, who had Heat Resistance and ever-increasing levels...
And so, only after most of the Middle Stratum's monsters had died at the hands of Kumoko and the Heavenly Dragon Fei Lun, and they had not seen a single eel or catfish for days, did Kumoko and the others have no choice but to leave this kingdom of gourmet food.
There were still plenty of monsters like seahorses, but seahorses were not worth lingering for at all. They might as well go to the Lower Stratum to level up and hunt monsters first, then return to the Middle Stratum once the seahorses evolved into catfish...
Lower Stratum.
Just as Fu Hua, Kumoko, and Fei Lun had nearly cleared out the monsters at the edge of the Lower Stratum and were preparing to head toward the center—
Several blade shadows appeared from nowhere and slashed at Fu Hua!
Fu Hua sensed the danger and dodged immediately, but before she could steady herself, another figure charged at her! They even ignored Kumoko and Fei Lun entirely. Their target was clearly Fu Hua...
"Careful, Fu Hua!"
Kumoko and Fei Lun reacted as well. Realizing that a terrifying enemy was attacking Fu Hua, they hurriedly shouted and struck back!
Kumoko was no longer weak, and Fei Lun's magic was no slouch either, but their attacks were almost instantly cut down before they could reach the enemy.
Numerous magic circles appeared around Kumoko. The next instant, dense volleys of spider demon poison bullets shot toward the attackers through magic. Yet even that barrage of spider demon poison could not harm them in the slightest!
It was either easily evaded or cut apart
