It was as though the moon was retreating before that light. The light gradually took on a pink hue, becoming ever more crystalline. The dew-dampened, well-rested, joyful world awakened.
Keqing lay sleeping peacefully in bed when she suddenly felt something furry brush against her cheek, making it terribly itchy. She lightly scratched her cheek, but the sensation returned before long. Left with no choice... Keqing opened her beautiful eyes.
The sky had yet to fully brighten. It was probably around four or five in the morning.
"It's Higokumaru... I was wondering what was so itchy."
Keqing helplessly tilted her head and looked at Higokumaru, who was sprawled in a starfish pose beside her pillow. The little fox's several fluffy tails occasionally swayed even as she slept.
Now that Higokumaru had woken her, Keqing no longer felt sleepy. She quietly got out of bed without disturbing the little fox, but despite her care, Higokumaru still opened her eyes upon noticing the movement.
"Mm... B-Big Sis, you're up so early?"
"I've rested enough, but you can keep sleeping." It was not fully light yet, so there was no need to get up in such a hurry.
"Okay."
At that, Higokumaru closed her eyes again. She had not slept enough yet.
Keqing left the room. It was extremely quiet outside. After finding a place to wash up, she cleaned herself up briefly before arriving at an open space.
She took out a one-handed sword and began practicing her swordsmanship.
There was nothing to do for the time being, but she had no intention of wasting the time. Using it to practice her sword... could not have been more fitting.
Holding the sword in one hand, Keqing displayed a seamless set of Yunlai Swordsmanship. Keqing's sword dance... was truly pleasing to the eye. Even
