Infinity Castle lay beneath a certain city, a city controlled by Nakime.
With Nakime's help, Keqing and Makomo entered Infinity Castle with ease. Keqing had originally thought... Muzan Kibutsuji would surely notice something and immediately summon the Twelve Kizuki. Yet the entire Infinity Castle was completely empty.
This disappointed Keqing somewhat. If Muzan Kibutsuji and the other demons of the Twelve Kizuki had all come together, Higokumaru could have corrupted them all at once.
Keqing was now one hundred percent certain that even Muzan Kibutsuji... could not resist the Herrscher power of the Herrscher of Corruption.
Still, although Muzan Kibutsuji had not come... Keqing did not dwell on it too much. It was all more or less the same anyway. With Higokumaru's power of corruption, whether Muzan Kibutsuji was needed or not did not matter.
Uh... that was not quite right. She had promised Kagaya Ubuyashiki that Muzan had to die.
Still, Muzan Kibutsuji was a Demon King after all. Though he was admittedly rather pathetic, she had to elevate him first.

"Lady Keqing, this is a city of demons. Aren't you worried at all?" Makomo followed closely behind Keqing. She had never imagined that... having only just joined the Demon Slayer Corps, she would come with Keqing straight into the demons' headquarters.
If she had not previously witnessed Higokumaru's ability to control Rui, she might have fainted by now.
Even though she was all right at the moment, she was still extremely nervous. The hand gripping her sword hilt... was sweating. This was Muzan Kibutsuji's headquarters, and they could very well face that Demon King and the other Twelve Kizuki!
