Looking at the discarded old corpse, then at the brand-new Anubis, Raiden Mei felt that this... was not particularly surprising.
Though these gods were inferior to those of orthodox mythology, they were still quite difficult to kill.
"I declare that you shall die!"
Anubis grinned and raised the Death Scythe in his hand. This was one of Anubis's most important divine artifacts, possessing power beyond that of ordinary divine artifacts.
It possessed the power to sever souls. Even if a god was wounded by it, they could not heal themselves; the wound would continue worsening. More terrifyingly, those killed by it, whether human or god, could never be resurrected.
This was the Death Scythe. When facing it, one had to be prepared... to lose their life.
Anubis raised his scythe and slashed directly at Raiden Mei.
Though Raiden Mei did not know the artifact's abilities, she could sense its ominous nature. She absolutely could not let it wound her, or even she would be in serious trouble.
Thus, Mei did not trade blows with him much. After blocking the Death Scythe with one strike, she drew the Sky Piercer with her other hand and fired at Anubis.
However, having been prepared this time, Anubis hurriedly dodged the shot.
Although she had not hit Anubis, Raiden Mei did not care. She simply widened the distance between them at once.
After pulling away, she continued firing with the Sky Piercer. Although Raiden Mei excelled at the blade, it did not mean she knew nothing about firearms.
After spending so much time with Kiana, she had naturally picked up a few things.
Yet Anubis's new body, coupled with the Death Scythe in his hand, had made him even more powerful. The Sky Piercer could
