Mount Olympus was filled with slaughter and screams. The gods who had once stood high above all others, ruling over the lives and deaths of others, had now been reduced to prey hunted by others.
Perhaps these arrogant gods had never imagined that they, too, would one day meet such a fate.
Ordinary members of the divine race trembled before the Giants and dragons, lacking even the courage to resist.
Meanwhile, under the leadership of the high and mid-ranking gods, the guards of the Greek heavens began resisting the invaders. But the vanguard they faced consisted either of Giants, dragons, or the Flügel's killing weapons. Before individuals comparable to gods, they had no ability to resist whatsoever.
Those god warriors unafraid of death flew toward the Giants and dragons with their divine weapons, only to be swatted to death by the Gigants and Dragonia as though they were flies.
After who knew how many tens of thousands of years, they once again recalled the terror of being ruled by the Titan Giants.
Finally, as the Giants and dragons steadily closed in, one of Greece's chief gods emerged.
He was a god with a face full of beard, looking incomparably bold and hot-tempered.
He appeared amid blazing flames, wielding a greatsword and treading through fire as he slashed at a Giant approaching Zeus's palace. The Gigant failed to react in time, and one of its fingers was cut off by his sword.
He was one of the Twelve Olympians, Hephaestus, the god of fire!
In ancient Greek mythology, he was the god of fire, forging and masonry, and the art of sculpture. He was the son of Zeus and Hera, and the husband of Aphrodite and Aglaea.
He was also famously cuckolded...
